I'm not very interested in reality, if I were,

I'd probably be a photographer.

As it is, I am a painter; at least today I am,

I do not know what I'll be tomorrow.

While I am not completely self-taught,

I am self-thought.

As for my mission as an artist,

I would say it is to provoke thought

through color, form and movement,

challenge the mind to see something

beyond a still life or landscape painting.
